Families from Lysefjord

Numerous families emigrated from the Lysefjord area in the early 1860’s, often settling first in Wisconsin before moving on to west central Minnesota in 1867.  Like many other Norwegian emigrants, the names and spelling of names changed over the years.  Lyse often became Lecy, some used the name Kristopherson, others used Ims or Imes, others used Colston.
